Opening the way for personal accounts

The first of the Government’s two intended Pensions Bills has received its first reading in the House of Commons. It provides further details for occupational pension schemes on how guaranteed minimum pensions (GMPs) can be converted into scheme rights and how the abolition of defined contribution contracted-out rights will operate.
