Better late than never? regulator consults on draft transfer value guidance

In August, the Pensions Regulator published, as a consultation document, its proposed guidance for trustees in relation to their new responsibilities around transfer value calculations. This follows the earlier publication of the Occupational Pension Schemes (Transfer Values) (Amendment) Regulations 2008, which come into effect on 1 October. The draft guidance is also intended to assist trustees in relation to a number of areas not covered by the new regulations.
