A way through the maz: The challenges of managing UK pension schemes

In a major survey commissioned by Towers Perrin, the Economist Intelligence Unit has published the results of an investigation into the current attitudes of senior board directors towards tackling the risks in their own organisation’s defined benefit pension scheme. Exploring the approaches to governance, funding, investment and scheme design that companies use to manage these risks, the Economist interviewed several hundred directors – primarily CEOs, CFOs and chief HR directors.
