Moral hazard powers to be strengthened

As promised in its recent announcement, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has now issued a consultation document, together with a Ministerial Statement, outlining its proposals to strengthen the Pensions Regulator’s moral hazard powers. The proposed changes will extend and adjust the Regulator’s existing powers to ensure they remain effective in a continually evolving pension environment.
